Former Bundeswehr colonel Maximilian Eder has been in custody for 15 months. He has not yet testified to investigators, but now he is the first of the 26 defendants in the alleged terrorist group to break his silence. The star documents his most important statements.
Former Bundeswehr Colonel Maximilian Eder is the first main defendant in the soon-to-begin terror trials against the so-called “Reuss Group” to speak out in detail and publicly about central allegations. Compared to the star and RTL, Eder admitted some of the allegations that the federal prosecutor’s office was making against him.
Eder is said to be the Reichsbürger group around Henry XIII. Prince Reuss co-founded it. His public statements come as a surprise since, according to his lawyer, he has remained silent even before the police. Now he gave to the star and RTL, for example, admitted to having explored underground passages under the Reichstag and other parliamentary buildings with a small group of co-defendants in August 2021. He also confirmed that AfD MP Birgit Malsack-Winkemann had accompanied him and two other former Bundeswehr soldiers through the buildings.

The Federal Prosecutor General sees this exploration on a weekend with little public as a spying operation for a planned assassination attempt – and part of the group’s plan to overthrow the federal government by force of arms. Eder admitted that the group wanted the current government to step down. However, without gun violence, as he claimed. “A storming of the Reichstag using military forces was never planned because it made no political sense,” Eder said from his pre-trial detention through his lawyer Ilka Lang-Seifert. The Bundestag investigation served the purpose of “calling parliamentarians or members of the government to task if necessary.”
However, after research by Eder star and RTL has already written a kind of government declaration to the German population for a time after the fall of the government. He wrote that “from now on, a military government has been formed as a transitional government.” Eder himself called the statement to the research team a “suggestion” in the event that he had taken a position in a transitional government.

He also admitted that he had spent a lot of money uncovering an alleged conspiracy by senior politicians – which could have led to a coup in Germany. According to Eder, he was looking for evidence that politicians “up to the highest levels” were perpetrators or cover-ups of a pedophile ring. It could not be ruled out that such evidence would have made “a government reshuffle and new elections and, until then, an interim government necessary.”
Three trials against a total of 26 suspected members and supporters of the so-called “Reuss Group” are scheduled to begin at the end of April. The terror trial is considered one of the largest in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany. All defendants are presumed innocent until they are convicted. Like many of the main defendants, Eder had apparently refused to be interviewed since the arrests in December 2022.

Can Mr. Eder confirm that on August 1, 2021, he walked through the Bundestag and the adjacent government buildings with Birgit Malsack-Winkemann, Peter Wörner and Harald P. and that the visitors took various photos and videos of the underground passages and tunnel systems under the parliament buildings? Is it still true that the group took photos of overview maps of the floors, escape plans and vehicle access authorizations into the Parliament’s underground car park?
This was a general exploration by Mr. Eder for an option that was originally considered, if necessary, to confront parliamentarians or government members who would have been identified as confirmed SRP perpetrators or cover-ups after an operation in the DUBs in the Basel area. (Editor’s note: Conspiracy supporters refer to so-called “Deep Underground (Military) Bases” as DUBs or DUMBs, underground tunnel systems in which, according to their ideas, children are tortured. Namely by “SRP perpetrators”, so they are obviously perpetrators of one supposed “satanic-ritual pedophilia network”.)
The Federal Prosecutor General is convinced that the tour through the Bundestag was carried out with the aim of spying on the buildings in order to prepare an armed coup. Is it true that Mr. Eder and the other participants pursued this goal on the Bundestag tour? If not, what was it about instead?
A storming of the Reichstag using military forces was never planned because it made no political sense. What and with what support from the population would such an action have achieved – a completely absurd solution to a political problem with military means!
Is it true that between October 2021 and his arrest in December 2022, Maximilian Eder was looking for evidence of satanic child abuse by German politicians such as Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach and former Chancellor Angela Merkel, among other things in underground tunnels should have taken place in Switzerland?
Mr. Eder fundamentally and generally looked for perpetrators and cover-ups in matters of satanic, ritual pedophilia (SRP) from all areas of society, including from politics to the highest circles. He never mentioned any specific names.
Is it right that this evidence should also serve as justification to convince the German population of the need for a coup and to incite them?
No, the logic is the other way around: If it turns out to be true that politicians at the highest levels are involved in SRP, it goes without saying that the government and parliament would be in dire need of self-explanation. Similar to Guillaume and Brandt in 1983, it cannot be ruled out that a government reshuffle and new elections and, until then, an interim government might be necessary. And regarding the term coup: A coup, to be understood as a coup, can only take place by those who are in power and act illegally against the constitution and seize power (see Brockhaus).
Is it true that Eder created a document called “220112DeclarationMorgenroete_Daniel.odt” in which he wrote a draft government declaration intended for the time when a military government replaced the German federal government?
That would have been a suggestion on his part if he had been asked what he thought he could do in a particular position or task in such a situation.
Is it true that Eder and other alleged members of the group transferred almost 140,000 euros to the R brothers for weapons and surveillance activities they ordered? Is it still true that Eder met one or both Rs at least four times in 2022 in the border area between Germany, Austria and Switzerland and handed them additional cash?
It is true that Mr. Eder provided the R. brothers with a clearly 6-figure sum from his own and borrowed funds. Some of the money was transferred and some was given in cash.
