“Lindenstrasse” villain Martin Armknecht will appear in “Unter uns”. He takes on this role during the event week in November.

Martin Armknecht (61) has appeared in numerous film and series productions since the 1980s. One of his most famous roles to this day is that of the “Lindenstrasse” villain Robert Engel. As part of the “Unter uns” event week from November 6th to 10th, which has the motto “Trust me – I am your murderer”, Armknecht will now be featured in the RTL-Daily (also on RTL+) into a criminal.

Martin Armknecht will “really shake up Schillerallee”

The actor, who, among other things, appeared in front of the camera several times for “Tatort” and made his cinema debut in the cult film “Manta, Manta” from 1991, explains his new role in a press release as follows: “I’m in the big ‘Unter uns’ – Event week the evil one, a criminal diamond dealer who really causes chaos on Schillerallee. […] As an actor, I like to work in all formats and like different roles. I think evil is a good thing now that I’m older and can be played in a very multifaceted way.”

Armknecht goes on to say that the guest role gave him “some challenging days of filming” – because shooting for a daily format was “already a different dimension”. Armknecht was “definitely able to sleep well in the evening after the many scenes.”

What will happen in “Among Us”?

Beware, spoilers! Armknecht plays the diamond dealer Hector Mertens, who feels threatened by Eva Wagner (Claudelle Deckert, 49) because the lawyer has collected evidence against him. Mertens wants to get Wagner out of the way, which is why she has to go into hiding and leave her Dominic Adams (Jo Weil, 46) behind. Mertens threatens to set off a bomb on Schillerallee if he doesn’t get the lawyer extradited.
