Now it’s nothing new that Martha Argerich just has to stick her head through the door to get her fans excited. The pirouettes that she does together with her long-time piano partner Lilya Zilberstein to thank the audience, who took a seat on the stage of the Hercules Hall due to popular demand, are therefore definitely part of the performance. Both Argerich and Zilberstein know the stage effect they create through their sheer presence. She guarantees that this almost three-hour concert evening – three encores will be played – will not be boring for a second, also because the two pianists continue to appear energetically full of trills and scales.
