CSU leader Markus Söder is calling on Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) to form a new government – without the FDP and the Greens, but with the Union.

The CSU chairman In view of the growing migration problem in Germany, Markus Söder has called for the rapid formation of a grand coalition with the Union as a junior partner. “A new government is needed,” said the Bavarian Prime Minister on Friday in Berlin. “Doing what is necessary now means dismissing the FDP and the Greens and forming a new government of national reason.” A fundamental change in migration policy is needed. From Söder’s point of view, the traffic light made up of the SPD, Greens and FDP is no longer able to do this.
