Little Boris-Josef Jaromy came from Sulzemoos. He was only 19 days old. He died in agony in the children’s barracks in Markt Indersdorf, where Eastern European forced laborers had to hand in their newborns in the last year of the war. 35 small children died in this barracks at the Indersdorfer Klostermauer – a “death camp”, as historian Anna Andlauer calls it – due to malnutrition, neglect and catastrophic conditions. On Friday, community representatives from Indersdorf, students, the local history association and consuls from Poland and Ukraine commemorated the fate of these youngest victims of National Socialism.
