Marine Le Pen wants to impose “willingly or by force” the subject on the National Assembly

“Rations, restrictions, load shedding, shortages. The picture of France this winter drawn up by Marine Le Pen is very gloomy. The president of the National Rally promised this Sunday to impose “willingly or by force” the current energy crisis on the program of Parliament, during a visit to her stronghold of Hénin-Beaumont. Highlighting the difficulties in obtaining gas supplies and producing electricity, she regretted that Parliament had rejected her proposal for an extraordinary session on energy.

“It is an immediate essential subject but we are put, us deputies, on technical unemployment”, she underlined. She castigated the “gadget” that she believes constitutes the National Council for Refoundation (CNR), formed Thursday by Emmanuel Macron and “a few of his friends to pretend to be interested in the subject”.

Heating, swimming pools, lighting, travel: warning that “everything that seems obvious to us can be questioned”, she pointed to an “exhausting and humiliating regression of the country”, a consequence of “old political errors” rather than the war in Ukraine.
