After the success of her Netflix series “Unorthodox”, German actress and director Maria Schrader received many calls from Hollywood. Among others by Dede Gardner, who runs Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B. She was looking for a director for a feature film about Harvey Weinstein. The result is the movie “She Said” (release: December 8), which is already being traded as an Oscar candidate. Schrader tells the story of the two New York Times-Journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, who became the initiators of the “Me Too” movement with their article on Weinstein’s sexual assault.
