Franck Haise’s amused response to the OM rumor

Announced in the sights of OM, whom he will face on Sunday at the Vélodrome (9 p.m.), Lensois coach Franck Haise prefers to smile. And return the ball to Lille’s Paulo Fonseca, also flirted with by the Marseille leaders.

He preferred to smile. Present this Friday at a press conference, two days before challenging OM on the 31st day of Ligue 1, Franck Haise was once again questioned about his future. And on the supposed interest of Marseille, who would have checked his name on their short list for next summer according to certain rumors.

“Go see my colleague Paulo (Fonseca)”

“You saw correctly, I’m small, at the very bottom,” laughed the northern technician, currently under contract until 2027 with RC Lens. A few weeks ago, it was on the Liverpool side that he was mentioned among the possible candidates to succeed Jürgen Klopp.

Obviously courted by many teams thanks to his excellent work accomplished since 2020 with the Sang et Or, with the return to the Champions League this season, Haise would be popular with Pablo Longoria.

“If you want to ask the question, go see my colleague Paulo (Fonseca) further north, he is taller in the photo,” he reacted, in reference to the front page of L’Equipe of the day dedicated to Lille Paulo Fonseca, who would be OM’s priority to take over from Jean-Louis Gasset.

Lensois goalkeeper Brice Samba was also asked a question on the subject: “I read L’Equipe this morning. I don’t know anything about it, it’s not my area. We want him to stay here but football, we don’t master all these aspects, to be honest.”
