Manu da Coll is usually barefoot on the roughly planed boards of the beer tents, as the founding drummer of LaBrassBanda He established something like disco brass music at folk festivals as the highest atmospheric art. But he’s never been here on a bike. More precisely: with his self-built “Dubtrain one”, a cargo bike trailer with a mixer and effects devices. On the trailer he pulls a mountain of loudspeakers behind him in the style of Jamaica’s mobile music troupes. “It’s the first time I’ve made it into the beer tent with a sound system,” says Captain Yossarian, as he calls himself a dub artist, with a grin and a leather jacket.
