A man, suspected of having killed a forty-year-old on Thursday, in Saint-Jean-de-Védas (Hérault), was placed in police custody, the Montpellier prosecutor’s office said in 20 minutes, this Friday morning. He went to the local police station. The events took place at the home of the accused’s grandmother, whom she was hosting, details the prosecution. The victim, a friend of the latter, also lived in this house.
An argument, for an unknown reason, would be at the origin of the tragedy. The suspect is suspected of having stabbed the right side of the neck of the victim, who moved a few dozen meters outside the house before collapsing, indicates the prosecution . It was the grandmother of the accused who notified the emergency services. But the victim, aged around forty, could not be saved.
An autopsy must be performed this Friday. The investigations were entrusted to the research brigade of the Castelnau-le-Lez gendarmerie.
