At Victoria Day on July 14th it was that time again: The sisters-in-law madeleine (40) and Sofia of Sweden (37) met. At the concert at Solliden Castle on the eve of Crown Princess Victoria’s 45th Birthday Princess Madeleine and Sofia were even placed next to each other. However, the reconciliation that was perhaps intended to be brought about by their immediate proximity did not work out.
The two just didn’t look at each other and didn’t say a word to each other. Especially the younger sister of Victoria (45), who had come all the way from the USA, showed her brother’s wife Carl Philip (43) the cold shoulder. The 40-year-old didn’t let the meeting spoil the celebrations: she was definitely up for a joke with the bodyguard.

Madeleine and Sofia of Sweden: The relationship is considered tense
The reason why the two ladies are said not to get along is said to be Carl Philip’s ex-partner, Emma Perlald (42), be. Because she was in a relationship with the Swedish prince before Sofia and the whole 10 years. But that’s not all: Emma Pernald is still very good friends with Madeleine of Sweden and is often invited to christenings, weddings and the like. Much to the annoyance of Sofia, who promptly invites her husband’s ex again and again – at least that’s what is rumored.
It remains to be seen whether Sofia and Madeleine, who are certainly two of the most important women in Carl Philip’s life, will be able to bury the ax at some point. But the pictures from Victoria Day show that the time has not yet come.
