The second of his term. Emmanuel Macron will hold a press conference on Thursday, December 9 to present the priorities of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (PFUE), which will start on January 1, 2022 for six months, the Elysee announced on Sunday.
The Head of State will thus present “the main European priorities that France will carry during the presidency” in a tense context concerning the reception of migrants in the EU or the place of the Old Continent in the world.
On this occasion, Emmanuel Macron should also unveil the list of cities in which several events of the French presidency will be organized and unveil their emblem. A defense summit is planned during the first three months of the presidency, during which these important meetings will take place.
Note that on the same day, Prime Minister Jean Castex should bring together the presidents of parliamentary groups of the European Parliament as well as its president, David Sassoli.
