Several elected Republicans evoked this Monday the hypothesis of an LR list against the outgoing president of the region Paca Renaud Muselier, after the withdrawal for his benefit from the LREM list for the regional ones.

“Renaud Muselier made a choice that I strongly condemn, against our political family” and which “will probably lead to the election of Thierry Mariani”, lamented on Europe 1 the deputy of the Maritime Alps Eric Ciotti for whom the president of Paca “Naturally placed himself outside our political family”.

“We are going to discuss it”

Asked about a possible LR list against Renaud Muselier, Eric Ciotti assured that it was “a hypothesis”. “We are going to discuss it,” he added, while The Republicans will hold a strategic committee this Tuesday largely devoted to this issue. However, he ruled out leading this possible list himself. “We are up against the wall, as far as possible we should make a list,” said MEP François-Xavier Bellamy.

“The bad thing done to democracy is that this maneuver takes place a few days before the filing of the lists” and “it is obviously very complicated to do but if the challenge can be met, I believe it must” , he added on Public Senate.

The boss of senators LR, Bruno Retailleau, also estimated in the daily Le Figaro that “logic dictates that we constitute a list to carry our own colors and our convictions”.
