LR Constance Le Grip among the 52 new candidates invested by the majority

The transfer window continues among politicians a few weeks before the legislative elections of June 12 and 19. The presidential majority thus unveiled the names of 52 new candidates on Sunday evening, including Constance Le Grip, a Sarkozyist from the ranks of LR.

After Robin Reda on Saturday, it is therefore a new take for the macronie drawn from the ranks of the Republicans. Constance Le Grip, 61, is invested in the 6th constituency of Hauts-de-Seine, a stronghold acquired on the right where she was elected in 2017. Two days after Emmanuel Macron’s victory, the former deputy European Union had assured that it intended “to be, in a constructive and useful way, at the service of the general interest of the country” and not “in a frontal opposition”.

Another list to come

Another defector from LR on this third list of nominations: Emmanuelle Haziza in the 6th district of the Rhône. Also in the Rhône, note the investiture in the 9th constituency of Ambroise Mejean, 26, national president of Young people with Macron. Finally, the outgoing non-reinvested figures include Anne Blance, Jacques Maire and Aïna Kuric.

With this new wave, 502 majority candidates, including many outgoing ministers, are now on the starting line. A new list must also be unveiled at the beginning of the week. After tense negotiations, La République en Marche (LREM) which is renamed Renaissance, the MoDem of François Bayrou and the new Horizons party of Edouard Philippe approach the legislative elections under the banner of “Together! », the name chosen for their joint campaign.
