Lower Franconia: Student teacher is said to have secretly taken photos of students – Bavaria

A student teacher is said to have secretly taken photos of students during swimming lessons in the Lower Franconian district of Haßberge. Investigators did not want to reveal on Tuesday whether this took place in the shower or in the locker room.

According to previous findings, only boys were photographed, as senior public prosecutor Nino Goldbeck from the Center for Combating Child Pornography and Sexual Abuse on the Internet (ZKI) in Bamberg said. He did not want to comment on the age of the victims or reveal any details about the school or the suspect.

The police tracked down the prospective teacher after a warning from the USA. The man’s apartment was then searched. According to the Lower Franconia police and the Bamberg public prosecutor’s office, after reviewing the evidence found, there was a suspicion that the accused could have also made recordings in a school in the Haßberge district. Whether these are child pornographic in nature is still being determined.

There is currently no evidence of sexual assault by the accused. The temporary teacher is being investigated on suspicion of violating personal privacy and personal rights by taking pictures. The man is also accused of possessing child pornography.

The senior public prosecutor did not want to reveal what exactly he had said so far about the allegations, but the suspect appeared to be cooperative. He is not in custody. He is no longer at the school, the government of Lower Franconia has taken labor law action against the teacher, said Goldbeck. According to the information, the parents of all students at the school were informed about the allegations and investigations on Monday evening.
