Lothar Matthäus criticizes Upamecano and Hernandez: “Price-performance ratio is not right”

Whoever loses has no arguments: After the bankruptcy against Bochum, Lothar Mätthaus found clear words against Bayern defenders Upamecano and Hernandez.
After the 2:4 in Bochum, Lothar Matthäus clearly criticized the two defenders Dayot Upamecano and Lucas Hernandez.
“Some players haven’t arrived in Munich yet. Hernandez and Upamecano don’t offer good value for money,” said Matthäus at a press event for betting provider “Interwetten”.
“These are expensive players, you expect more. Upamecano has already made a few mistakes, he seems like a foreign body.” Hernandez moved from Atletico Madrid to Munich in 2019 for a whopping 80 million euros, making it Bayern’s record purchase. The world champion has deficits, fouls too much, is sometimes too slow.
Upamecano came from Leipzig in the summer. The Munich team put around 43 million euros on the table for the Frenchman. Even after a good eight months, he still hasn’t reached his top form. Matthäus doesn’t want to give him more time to get used to the record champions.
Matthäus clearly: “How much time should you give him? He didn’t deliver enough for the time he was there. He already has experience in the Bundesliga.”
FC Bayern: Matthäus complained about dealing with Süle
Matthäus criticizes the handling of the player about the departure of Niklas Süle to BVB. “There were always rumors that he was overweight. Bayern didn’t react to that. Players like Sane and Coman were protected, while Süle was left out in the rain.”
