Lost during the holidays, a dog travels 380 km to find his family

Catherine and Roger have found their dog, which they had lost. A beautiful story, but which would be quite banal if the doggie had not traveled some 380 km to find his family, says France Bleu Gard Lozère.

Last week, back from Italy, these sixty-year-olds made a small detour via Saint-Martin-Bellevue, in Savoie, before returning to the Chemin du Gard, where they live. Their dog, a jadgterrier, will stretch its paws, as it usually does. But this time he never came back. “We waited for him for hours,” says Catherine, at the station. We even spent the night there, to no avail. “

“I couldn’t believe it”

Before taking the road, the couple reports, in town hall, the disappearance of the dog. Then go to relatives, in Ain. Several days later, one of their friends sends them an incredible message: their pooch returned home alone, in Bezouce, in the Gard, 380 km from where the couple had lost track. On the snapshot sent by her friend, responsible for guarding her house, she recognized their little companion: “I couldn’t believe it, it was a real moment of happiness,” continues Catherine.

To try to find out more about the incredible journey of the doggie, the couple appealed to witnesses, who might have crossed paths between Saint-Martin-Bellevue and Bezouce.
