The loot of previously unknown thieves in a US cash deposit is 30 million US dollars. Curiously, the authorities have no idea how this coup could have succeeded.

On Easter Sunday, thieves broke into a cash warehouse in the US state of California. In They stole up to 30 million US dollars (almost 28 million euros) from Los Angeles’ Sylmar district, which was kept there, as the responsible police announced on Wednesday. However, who the thieves were, how they acted and why no one noticed anything is completely unclear.

The burglars managed to enter the building of a company that manages cash for several companies in the region unnoticed. They then even managed to open the safe in which the money was kept, said Elaine Morales, head of the Los Angeles Police Department, to the Los Angeles Times.

Burglary in Los Angeles points to professionals

The employees of the company concerned, which according to TV station ABC7 is “GardaWorld”, only discovered the massive theft when they opened the safe the following Monday.

The circumstances of the break-in are considered mysterious. When viewed from the outside, the safe showed no signs of break-in, as the Los Angeles Times reports.

The relevant authorities said that very few people knew about the huge sums of cash stored in this safe. The entire break-in was described as elaborate and would indicate an experienced team of burglars who knew exactly how to gain access to such a facility unnoticed.

For law enforcement, it was one of the largest burglaries in the city’s history, with a whopping $30 million in cash stolen.
