News for Marvel fans: The start dates for season two of “Loki” and the new series “Echo” on Disney + are now set.

The second season of “Loki” will be released on October 6, 2023 on Disney+. Marvel Studios has now announced this. President Kevin Feige, 49, said during a presentation in New York City on Tuesday that the series will pick up right where season one left off.

“Loki” debuted on Disney+ in the summer of 2021 – and quickly became one of the streaming service’s most popular Marvel shows. In the sequel, Tom Hiddleston (42) once again plays the god of practical jokes and deception with the title character. Other actors such as Owen Wilson (54) as Mobius M. Mobius or Gugu Mbatha-Raw (40) as Ravonna Renslayer and Sophia Di Martino (39) as Sylvie Rundeydottir should also return from the premiere edition. The Oscar-winning “Everything Everywhere All at Once” star Ke Huy Quan (51) should also be there. Lead actor Hiddleston previously promised “a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority” for season two. The powerful bureaucratic organization was already the focus of the first series season.

Feige didn’t mention it, according to Varietywhether Jonathan Majors (33) will also appear in season two, reprising his appearance as one of the variants of Marvel villain Kang from season one and the movie “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”. Majors was arrested on March 25 on charges of domestic violence and is currently awaiting a court hearing. The actor has denied the allegations.

“Echo” is coming in November

Marvel has also announced the Disney+ release date for the Hawkeye spinoff series Echo. It will be released with all episodes on November 29, 2023. The new TV show tells the story of Maya Lopez, played by Alaqua Cox (26). She must face her past, reconnect with her roots, and recognize the importance of family and community if she is ever to move on.

Feige gushed about the “incredible team” behind the limited series, including stars Zahn McClarnon, 56, Graham Greene, 70, Chaske Spencer, 48, Tantoo Cardinal, 72, Devery Jacobs, 29, and Cody Lightning (36). The cast also includes Vincent D’Onofrio (63) as Wilson Fisk (aka Kingpin) and Charlie Cox (40) as Daredevil. Both actors appeared in the Netflix series Daredevil.
