Local council approves interim buildings in “Pullman City” – Bavaria

After the major fire, the Lower Bavarian western town “Pullman City” in Eging am See wants to reopen in mid-April. For this purpose, the company submitted building applications for interim buildings to the market town council, among other things. On Thursday evening, the councilors unanimously approved the applications, said office manager Wolfgang Schwarzbach on Friday.

The councils thus paved the way for reopening. The Passau district office still has to issue the final building permit. A spokesman for Westernstadt was confident on Friday that the district office’s approval would come quickly. Operations could then start on April 13th.

The interim buildings include a wooden saloon and the temporary conversion of the remaining riding arena into a music hall with a restaurant. The playground will also be relocated to make room for construction vehicles at its current location.

According to information, about a third of “Main Street” burned down in the fire on January 21st. Parts of the themed restaurant were also seriously damaged. There was damage worth millions. According to police, there was no evidence of intentional or negligent setting of the fire. Pullman City opened in 1997. The park for cowboy fans attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.
