There are YouTube clips about Klopp that are all about these short, intimate moments between coach and fans. There are likely to be a few more of these scenes in the second half of the season, because Liverpool is in an emotional state of emergency – for two reasons.
Klopp quake releases forces
“It’s endless fun,” emphasized Klopp in the “Sky” interview: “We have a lot of potential and we mix it with attitude. That’s what makes quality.” The result: Liverpool has been unbeaten in 15 league games and the club is dreaming of the second championship of the Klopp era.
Núñez compensates for Salah’s loss: “Simply crazy”
The chest with which Liverpool comes to the capital couldn’t be wider, because: It’s not just the results that are right. The team brilliantly compensated for the loss of Mohamed Salah, who had to be unavailable for the Africa Cup and also sustained a hamstring injury.
Darwin Núñez took over the job and has been playing at a top level for weeks. “A crazy first half, unbelievable. I would say it was impossible to defend,” Klopp praised the attacker after the Chelsea game. The fact that Núñez scored the goal to make the final score 4-1 after four (!) goals speaks for itself.
“It’s just crazy that he has so many situations. Then he scores the fourth goal at a really important moment, because 3:2 or 4:1 means a big difference,” emphasized the coach.
Klopp is amazed at youngster Bradley
And then there is young Conor Bradley (20), who has a goal and three assists to his name after his first two Premier League appearances against Bournemouth and Chelsea.
“I can’t remember many debut weeks that went like his,” Klopp admitted. It’s “very, very cool” when talents from the club’s academy make such an impact with the professionals: “I have a lot of fun with it.”
The big question that comes to Klopp’s mind because of the success, the emotions and the extreme popularity is: Why the premature end and why not fulfill the contract, which runs until 2026?
Klopp opens up a thought game: What if we lose 4-1?
“I completely understand that this is coming,” Klopp admitted, but: “I listened to myself. The quality that I have is only there when I am at 100 percent – and I see that that is becoming less . I can’t do that to the club or anyone else.”
A mental game helps him: “If we lose 1:4 today, which can happen, I’ll be left looking like a broken man. Then you have to think: ‘How do we deal with him now? He’s won so much.’ This situation must not happen,” explained Klopp.
Liverpool are reaching for their first title of the season
In the remaining time, the Stuttgart native wants to win as many trophies as possible with his team on Merseyside. The first chance comes on February 25th in the League Cup final (4:00 p.m.) against Chelsea.
Of course, Liverpool are favorites and it is also clear that if they win, emotions will boil over and Klopp will take out his famous fist pumps again.
