At least eight people were killed and twenty injured by Russian strikes overnight from Thursday to Friday in the Dnipropetrovsk region in southern Ukraine, authorities said.

“A five-story building is on fire in Dnipro. It is partially destroyed. There could be people under the rubble,” regional governor Sergiï Lysak wrote on his Telegram account, who also reported damage in the area. Kryvyi Rig district, southwest of Dnipro.

According to Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council, two people were killed and fifteen injured in this strike which destroyed the top two floors of the building, located in the center of Dnipro.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, southeast of Dnipro, a woman was killed and two other people, including a 14-year-old girl, were injured, Mr. Lukashuk added on Telegram, without further details.
