Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on Sunday that Israel’s war in the Gaza Strip should be “the last” in this Palestinian territory, because “there will be no more Hamas” afterward.
“This must be the last war in Gaza. For the simple reason that there will be no more Hamas,” Mr. Gallant told soldiers at an air force base, according to a statement from his ministry.
“It will take a month, two months, three months and in the end there will be no more Hamas. Before Hamas meets our armor and our infantry, it will experience the bombs of the air force. And in my opinion, you know how to do this in a lethal, precise and qualitative manner as you have proven so far,” he added.
