LIVE – Disappearance of Lina in Bas-Rhin: the young girl’s mother speaks after the first day of the hunt

“I want to find my daughter”: Lina’s mother speaks after the first day of the hunt to find her

Fanny, Lina’s mother, spoke on the sidelines of the citizen fight today. On BFMTV, she wanted to thank the volunteers who participated in the research.

“I thank everyone, all the people who participate. The gendarmerie for their responsiveness, all the people who support me, my family, my friends who have been there from the first minute,” she declares.

In tears, she confided that she wanted to find her daughter. “I want to find my daughter, I want her to be close to me. Like any mother, you will understand that it’s difficult, it’s torture to no longer have your children close to you. It’s something which I don’t wish on anyone, it’s a great pain,” she continued.

She also announced that another hunt would take place tomorrow.

“I saw him grow”: the emotion of the participants in the hunt in Plaine

At least a hundred people mobilized today in Plaine to take part in a hunt to find the trace of the young girl. BFMTV collected some reactions from volunteers.

“I saw her grow up, she is the same age as my son, it’s up to us to be there to support her and do everything we can,” confides one of them.

“It’s like she’s my kid,” adds another, moved.

Lina’s boyfriend also took part in the hunt.

A hunt was organized today

The search, which remained in vain this weekend, resumed today with a sweep on the ground. More than a hundred people came together this afternoon to participate in a beatin order to find the teenager.

Three groups of around thirty people were formed to explore three distinct areas of the forest bordering the RD350 in an attempt to identify clues and find the young woman.

The land is heavily wooded, with few homes, and is also hilly. The searches took place throughout the afternoon.

This search is supervised by the gendarmerie and is assisted by “a helicopter equipped with thermal cameras”, the prosecution said this afternoon in a press release.

“A normal child, without problems, sweet, kind and smiling”

Aged 15, Lina had a completely normal profile, according to the first hearings. She was not known for running away from home in the past. Patricia Simoni, mayor of Plaine, described the young girl to BFMTV as “a normal child, without problems, sweet, kind and smiling”.

The teenager completed her primary education in the town. Recently, she even approached the town hall in order to apply for an internship to work with the elderly, as part of her professional project.

The councilor is worried. “We ask ourselves questions, I knew this young girl and it’s really very worrying,” she says, adding that she went to support Lina’s mother yesterday afternoon.

Lina had to travel 3 km to the station

Lina, the missing teenager, had to make the three-kilometer journey on foot from her home located in Plaine, in the Bruche valley, to the Saint-Blaise-la-Roche station.

Checks carried out on site confirmed that she had not boarded the train, said the Saverne public prosecutor’s office this Monday.

Lina has been missing since last Saturday in Bas-Rhin

Hello everyone, welcome to this live dedicated to Lina, a 15 year old girl, who has disappeared without giving any news since this Saturday morning, in Schirmeck (Bas-Rhin). The young woman had to take a train towards Strasbourg to meet a friend, indicates the prosecution.

It was the latter, not seeing her arrive, who alerted the family.
