Truman Capote has been deceased for almost 30 years. By chance, a short story by the world-famous author has now surfaced.

A previously unknown short story by a US author Truman Capote (1924-1984) was first published in the USA.

The editor-in-chief of “Strand” magazine, Andrew Gulli, discovered the handwritten story by chance in a notebook in the Library of Congress in Washington, a spokeswoman for the Capote Foundation told the German Press Agency in New York. The foundation checked the story and then gave the magazine permission to print it.

The short story “Another Day in Paradise” is about an American woman who lives unhappily in Sicily. Capote was one of the most famous writers of his generation, with works such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s and In Cold Blood, and is still revered by millions of fans worldwide.
