After Boris Becker was sentenced to prison, Lilly Becker spoke about her emotional life. One of their biggest concerns is their son Amadeus, who was not aware of the process.

For her, the prison sentence was a shock: Lilly Becker had not expected that her son’s father, Boris Becker, would be sentenced to two and a half years in prison. “I don’t know exactly what feelings I have now, I didn’t expect this verdict – I don’t believe anyone,” she said in an interview with RTL. Her biggest concern is their son Amadeus, who Boris Becker said goodbye to on Friday morning.

“I really wanted to make this statement because we have a son together who is just twelve years old. He doesn’t know anything and I don’t know how to explain everything to him,” said Becker and was brave. “He’s my son’s father. I’m here and I’ll stay here. My name is Becker. I’m very proud of my last name and we can do it all,” she emphasized in the interview.

The verdict surprised her, after all, the tennis legend “didn’t kill anyone”, it was about “something with taxes”. “He just didn’t deserve this punishment that he got now. I’m not mad. Whatever happens, I stand behind him,” she said, demonstrating the cohesion of the large blended family. She’s not afraid, she learned from Boris what it means to be tough. “I’m asking for peace for our child Amadeus, because he really is still innocent. It’s not the end of the world. Boris can do it all and will come out like a hero – he’s just a hero. A hero for our child, for ours Son,” she said, also mentioning the rest of the family: “Amadeus, Noah, Elias, Barbara and his girlfriend – we are all behind Boris no matter what.”

Amadeus doesn’t (yet) know anything

She loves Boris and always stands behind him, but her focus is currently on Amadeus. She wanted to pray with him, explained Lilly Becker, but needed psychological help to tell him the bad news. “I think now Amadeus has to grow up a little faster. I have to tell him at some point. His father didn’t do anything wrong, just something stupid,” she explained, revealing what Amadeus just said about his father: “If a If a child loves his parents, nothing can get in the way. The day before yesterday, Amadeus told me: ‘Mom, I have the best father in the world.’ When I asked why, he said, ‘You know mom, he’s always there for me.’ Amadeus has absolutely no idea what happened between me and Boris.”
