This video by Gravity Industries shows two test pilots taking off from a platform in front of the British aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth.
One of the men wearing what is known as a jet suit is lead developer Alex Wilson.
After a short sightseeing flight in front of the impressive backdrop, the men float back to the platform.
The suits can reach a speed of more than 130 km/h and can stay in the air for around 10 minutes.
The company has previously worked with the British Navy on test flights, which is testing the innovative technology for attack teams.
The British aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth came to New York at the end of September 2022 for the AFF defense conference.
