“Let’s Dance” surprise: Cheyenne Ochsenknecht has to dance – TV

Everything is different on Friday evening at “Let’s Dance”!

Hardy Krüger Jr. (53) was still ill, had caught bronchitis in addition to his positive corona test and will not be coming back this season. In his place, Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein (49) was suddenly back on the mat, although she was eliminated last week.

But her dance partner Andrzej Cibis (34) also has Corona, which is why she danced with choreographer Jimmy Surles (44).

That’s not all of the corona cases: professional dancer Malika Dzumaev (31) had also tested positive – Patricija Ionel (27) stepped in for her.

Dance celebrity Bastian Bielendorfer (37), on the other hand, had a cold and failed, which is why Ekaterina Leonova (34) was not there either.

A real chaos – not so easy to keep track of! Moderator Daniel Hartwich (43) joked, referring to the production site in Cologne-Ossendorf: “There’s something going on here in Chaos-sendorf!”

René Casselly’s bleeding lip

The motto of the evening: “Born in…”. The celebrity candidates danced to hits from their year of birth. There was enthusiasm at the Paso Doble for Faithless’ “Insomnia”. Circus artist René Casselly (25) and dance partner Kathrin Menzinger (33) gave it their all – René even dared to do a backflip over the lying Kathrin. In doing so, he caused standing ovations and shouts of “encore” from the studio audience.

Daniel Hartwich noticed something after the adventurous number, he asked René in shock: “Did you bite your lip? You’re bleeding a bit.” René stayed brave, preferring to concentrate on the jury’s ratings and only briefly remarked: “Yes, it can be.”

Juror Motsi Mabuse (40) has long since vented her enthusiasm: “I’ve seen a lot, in Germany, in England. But I haven’t seen that yet. With this song in week two!” She offered herself directly for the next somersault experiment: “I stand, you jump.” Jorge González (54) was also floored: “Your stage presence is amazing!” This collected 23 points Pair.

Only Mathias Mester (35) and Renata Lusin (34) caused even more enthusiasm. It rained praise for her – and a brilliant 25 points.

Cheyenne Ochsenknecht has to dance

However, no one expected THIS decision.

Cheyenne Ochsenknecht (21) played a rumba with Evgeny Vinokurov (31) to “She’s got that light” from “Orange Blue”. The jury’s reactions: rather restrained. Motsi complained: “It’s about ‘Let’s Dance’, this light. But I didn’t feel that you took us all here. I expect a presence.” Jorge wished for more openness: “Don’t be so scared. Be free!”

Nevertheless, there were at least 15 points – some more than other couples. But the viewers made the final decision and surprisingly chose the 21-year-old and her coach from the show.

Daniel Hartwich couldn’t hide his amazement after this decision: “I can’t believe it!” Cheyenne had tears in his eyes – she hadn’t expected this vote either. She would have liked to have continued dancing and was visibly dismayed: “I don’t even know what to say. I am extremely surprised. I didn’t expect to get kicked out yet!”

It remains exciting for the other dance couples – hopefully without further corona incidents.
