Les Bleuets lose on the wire against Ireland at the Six Nations Tournament

Cruel end to the match for the Blueberries, Friday. While leading 16-10 in the 79th minute, Jean-Marc Béderède’s players took a try from Ben Brownlee on the gong, converted by Charlie Tector, to finally lose (16-17).

Before that, the Bleuets had suffered a lot, against an unexciting but damn suffocating Irish team, which constantly multiplied the playing time, not letting the tricolor defense breathe. Despite this incessant pressure, the French under twenty were indeed leading at the break thanks to a try from Victor Montgaillard (10-7).

Les Bleuets still have a chance to win the Tournament

In the second period, the Bleuets even seemed to take the lead but Louis Foursans-Bourdette missed a distant penalty which could have given the French a nine-point lead (65th). Finally, too undisciplined, the players of Béderède ended up cracking. Samuel M’Foudi received a yellow card and Ireland struck at the best moment.
