Can FC Bayern no longer keep up with the European competition when it comes to player salaries? Leon Goretzka expresses himself clearly!
In the debate about the financial competitiveness of FC Bayern compared to the European competition, Leon Goretzka spoke the word of power. In his opinion, the club offers its players a good salary.
“Ultimately everyone has to know for themselves, but the overall package that we get at Bayern Munich is very attractive for every footballer in the world,” said the 27-year-old picture-Newspaper.

Goretzka himself had extended his contract with the German record champions until 2026 last September, but he had reduced his demands in the wake of the corona pandemic. But he didn’t want to know anything about a waiver and emphasized: “To be honest, it’s difficult for me – with the salaries we get – to speak of waivers!”
Currently, the club has to make the decisions on how to deal with the players whose contracts expire in 2023. Namely, it is about captain Manuel Neuer, veteran Thomas Müller, striker Robert Lewandowski and offensive player Serge Gnabry. The salary demands of the players should be a reason for the sluggish negotiations.
