Starting the new year with sport is something that many people intend to do. The SPD councilor Günter Lenz in Vaterstetten has been doing this for 20 years. The run, which Lenz invented in 2002 as a mayoral candidate during the election campaign, is not about top athletic performance – but about bringing people from the different districts together, as the 73-year-old explains.
