National player Lena Oberdorf’s brother is also a professional soccer player. Here Tim Oberdorf talks about growing up together, jokes between the siblings and their relationship today.
Mr. Oberdorf, is it true that you used to put your sister Lena Oberdorf in goal when playing football?
As soon as Lena could walk, she wanted to play in the garden with us boys who were five years her senior. In the beginning we might have sent them into goal every now and then. But that wasn’t necessary for long. We didn’t have to be very considerate of her, Lena adapted extremely quickly. I should have noticed how much talent she has.
