Jed McCaleb, former Ripple CTO and co-creator of XRP Ledger, revealed on Friday that: He will keep the remaining 5 million XRP “just in case it goes up”.
As reported by CTC News, McCaleb said in a Zoom talk, “Come to think of it, it would be silly if I sold it all. I mean, if the price really goes to $589 per token, I might as well get rich!”
And he continued, “I don’t know, maybe because of inflation. Or maybe it’s the cost of gas. But I have a feeling that holding the rest of XRP will make me and my family safer.”
Since leaving Ripple in 2014, McCaleb has sold millions of XRP tokens. And according to a recent report from Jed’s Twitter tacostand account, he still holds around 5 million XRP.
