Left unconscious, man saved by his neighbor on Christmas Eve

Perhaps he owes her his life. On the evening of December 25, a resident of Guingamp alerted the Côtes-d’Armor gendarmes, worrying about screams coming from his neighbor’s home. Good luck to him. When they arrived on site, the police discovered the 50-year-old man lying on the ground, unconscious. His face is swollen, “which leaves no doubt that he suffered violence,” report the gendarmes. The gendarmerie surveillance and intervention squad (Psig) alerts emergency services and the victim is quickly taken care of. His ITT will be evaluated at five days.

On site, the gendarmes questioned the other people present and arrested two suspected perpetrators of this violence. Tried in immediate appearance, the man and woman were found guilty of willful violence in a meeting.

According to the gendarmes, the two suspects had acted under the influence of alcohol. The 37-year-old man was sentenced to eighteen months in prison, six of which were suspended, and was imprisoned. The woman, aged 27, was sentenced to four months in prison and taken into custody.
