“Following the injury contracted during the match against England, Laure Sansus suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee. It is therefore forfeited for the rest of the World Cup, ”said the FFR in a press release. “She is replaced in the group of 32 players by Marie Dupouy (1 sel., Blagnac Rugby Féminin)”, adds the Federation.
The Stade Toulousain player (28, 32 caps) announced before the World Cup, which is being held in New Zealand, that it would be her last competition before retiring.

Laure Sansus, one of the executives of Les Bleues, was voted best player of the 2022 Six Nations Tournament, which she also finished with the title of best scorer (6 tries).
