Laughter and Shooting Society in Munich: Managing Director Christian Schultz quits – Munich

It is now the ejector seat of the city’s cultural scene: As was already leaked before the official announcement, Christian Schultz is giving up the position of managing director of the laughing and shooting society at the end of the month. He has probably already assigned his shares to his co-partner Ullrich Spandau. Schultz only took on the task last July after the old company went bankrupt.

The restart planned for this spring after the various operator disputes and the departures of Till Hofmann, Stefan Hanitzsch and Roswitha Seelos as managing directors and the subsequent insolvency proceedings under bankruptcy administrator Rolf Pohlmann was postponed indefinitely: complications with the renovation and with the concession The enormous increase in the investment volume not only made it impossible to operate the game in the long term, but the willingness of the new tenants and restaurateurs to allow the laughing and shooting society to take place at their premises also suffered greatly.

A few days ago, the famous illuminated signs for Lach- und Schieß disappeared on Haimhauserstrasse. The end of the old “store” seems sealed. Whether and how things continue will be examined on Friday in the SZ.
