Large-scale operation in Poing: fire brigade extinguishes saucepan – Ebersberg

Burned food led to a large-scale deployment of the rescue workers on Sunday afternoon, shortly after 3 p.m. The trigger for the alarm was smoke development in an apartment in Poing-Süd, which also triggered the smoke alarms. An attentive resident then alerted the fire brigade, which arrived a few minutes later with a large contingent together with the rescue service and the Poing police. The cause of the smoke development was quickly found: a saucepan that was still on the stove when the 92-year-old resident left her apartment. After adequate ventilation, the apartment could be re-entered. Nobody was injured and there was no property damage. It was only for the contents of the pot that every rescue came too late. According to the police, the burnt food was no longer edible afterwards.
