Verden police: Man threatened his girlfriend with a knife

According to a police spokeswoman, there had previously been a “threat situation”. The 46-year-old threatened his girlfriend with a knife around 10 a.m. She was able to escape and alerted the police, said the spokeswoman. As a result, there was a prolonged police operation in the city center of Nienburg. The man did not respond to the officers’ requests and ultimately attacked them with a knife.
