It should actually have been the day of the President of the State Parliament, Ilse Aigner (CSU), because – after two years of a forced Corona break – she invited many celebrities from politics and society to the summer reception of the State Parliament at Schleißheim Castle on Tuesday evening. More than 3,000 guests came to a perfect evening, without the thunderstorms that were obligatory in previous years: MPs, cabinet members, representatives of the judiciary, the churches and religious communities as well as from the areas of culture and sport. But while Ilse Aigner inspected the large parade of guests with the greatest discipline, two men and two women stole the show a few dozen meters away. Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU), who came with his wife Karin Baumüller-Söder, had the chance to greet Edmund Stoiber (Prime Minister from 1993 to 2007) and his wife Karin. And thus the opportunity to exchange a few memories of old times.
