According to police, children in Lower Bavaria found a loaded blank gun in a box marked “To be given away”. A witness reported the incident in Landshut, the police said on Monday. Accordingly, the box was “accessible to everyone” on Sunday in the hallway of an apartment building.
The weapon was a blank pistol with cartridge ammunition. It was initially unclear who had left the box and the weapon there. The police are investigating the possible perpetrator or perpetrators for violating the weapons law.
