Christine Lambrecht is still at the SPD parliamentary group’s retreat on Friday afternoon. While the deputies set out for a group picture, she sits on the sidelines with a confidant and consults. Nobody in the SPD dared to openly revolt, but several members of parliament have expressed their dismay at Lambrecht’s mistakes, and many in the party see their reputation damaged.
