La Rose Noir Droptail: Rolls-Royce causes a stir with a luxury convertible

Rolls-Royce is a very old-school car manufacturer. Superlatives, records and a lot of attention are supposedly not of interest there. What counts, as it is communicated in Goodwood, is the craftsmanship with which the vehicles are created there. Still, no one complained that the latest hit from the ultra-exclusive Coachbuild department drew all the attention at Monterey Car Week – even though wrecks of rare Ferraris were being traded for seven-figure sums there (find out here You more).

Since 2017, the coachbuild department has always been involved when extremely wealthy customers order a very special vehicle that is said to exist only once in the world. The cars are made in a lengthy manual process and it takes years before they can be handed over to the customer. The latest project to leave the hallowed halls at Goodwood is called the Rolls-Royce La Rose Noir Droptail.

The clock in the cockpit of the Rolls-Royce alone costs over 200,000 euros

Who ordered it? Secret. What did it cost? Secret. The latter would be particularly interesting, because in the cockpit of the vehicle there is a matching and therefore unique luxury watch from Audemars Piguet, the price of which is over 200,000 euros even without customization. The total price is rumored to be over 30 million euros. However, the manufacturer does not confirm this. All that is known about the customers is that they are said to be a wealthy family with connections in the automotive and fashion worlds.

On the other hand, Rolls-Royce is only too happy to talk about the craftsmanship. Find out what there is to know about the Rolls-Royce La Rose Noir Droptail in the gallery.
