The small scene is hardly noticeable, but it contains much of what makes the premiere performance of “Ku’damm 56 – the Musical” in Munich so great. It is the tête-à-tête between Monika (Sandra Leitner), who is just beginning to approach a world outside of her dance school mother’s corset of values, and Freddy (David Jakobs), who helps her with his music and on his mattress. Now she finally wants to know what that number on his forearm means.
