According to the investigative authorities, a young man tried to kill his grandmother in Krombach in the Aschaffenburg district. The police and public prosecutor’s office initially gave no information about the possible background to the crime.
The woman from Krombach was flown to a hospital on Monday with serious injuries by rescue helicopter. The attacker, who allegedly lived with the grandmother, was arrested and placed in a psychiatric clinic on suspicion of attempted murder. He was mentally disturbed.
