Kraillinger buys former inn Obermühlthal – Starnberg

The Gasthof Obermühlthal, which has been vacant for twelve years, has a new owner: It is “Mühltal 130 Immobilien GmbH” based in Gräfelfing, the managing director is Till von Geldern-Crispendorf from Krailling. The company was founded specifically for the acquisition of the almost 9,600 square meter site with the historic building. The company had already been awarded the contract six months ago in the bidding competition of the previous owner – the Würmtal-Zweckverband. After the buyer has been entered in the land register, the new owner can now be named, explained Mayor Rudolf Haux of Krailling on Monday in his function as chairman of the association.

In the lengthy process, the investor had obviously convinced the internal association meeting with his usage concept and the purchase price offer. “We are very happy that we were able to acquire the beautiful property that has my heart and soul in it,” said von Geldern-Crispendorf. However, it is not yet possible to present the planned usage concept with various options for the site next to the railway tracks in Obermühlthal. Because in order to be able to plan with certainty, information from the authorities is still necessary, emphasized the investor, who does not want to comment on the purchase price. The city of Starnberg is responsible for planning.

The investor sees no chance for a new inn

The 60-year-old lawyer and entrepreneur makes a promise for the former inn with beer garden that was built around 1890, but which is not a listed building: “The building will not be demolished.” Nevertheless, Geldern-Crispendorf makes it clear that he sees no chance of reviving the inn: In view of the problems in the catering trade with the lack of staff, this is unrealistic, he emphasizes. His company states, among other things, that its purpose is to manage its own assets. Also on board are the partners Robert Ackermann from Türkheim, Mounteffe GmbH in Berlin and the real estate company V4 Global in Gräfelfing, whose managing director Geldern-Cristendorf also acts.

Geldern-Crispendorf is busy: He owned a media company, listed a car pawn shop and bought patents in medical technology. Seven years ago he founded the company “Popcorn Affairs” in Wiedergeltingen (Unterallgäu) and since then has been offering colorful popcorn with wasabi, apple or raspberry flavors in Munich cinemas, for example. No question: the man is creative and has many ideas.

The Würmtal-Zweckverband has also found a buyer for the listed house “Zum Kapeller” in Mühltal. On the other hand, it is still unclear what will happen to the mill ensemble including the hydroelectric power station in the lower Mühltal. The Starnberg roastery “Wiener’s” has been applying for the property for years: owner Franz Kaiser wants to save the building from decay and open a museum café.
