For the season finale of “Kitchen Impossible” things are really happening in the “Best Friends Edition”. Tim Mälzer competes against two chefs.

The finale of the popular cooking show “Kitchen Impossible” is scheduled for April 3 (8:15 p.m. on VOX, also via RTL+). In the last episode, a “Best Friends Edition” awaits viewers. Who competes against whom?

In the “Best Friends Edition”, host Tim Mälzer and his colleagues Tim Raue and Max Strohe compete against each other to prove who is the best among them. In each case, one chef sends the other two to a location of his choice. There, both have to cook a dish in the original kitchen at the same time. In a direct duel, the two creations are then compared with the original plate by a jury of ten.

Maltsters and straw go to the Netherlands. Cooking buddy Raue sends the two of them to Nuenen, in the Van Gogh village near Eindhoven. There they meet “Spicy Chef” Soenil Bahadoer, whose creations are a mixture of French, Indian and Surinamese cuisine. According to the announcement, when the box is opened, the confusion is great. After the tasting, both maltsters and straws are sure “that they know absolutely nothing”.

Tim Raue vs. Max Strohe

Tim Mälzer sends his friends to South Tyrol, where they can cook with three-star chef Norbert Niederkofler. To be more precise, in his restaurant “AlpiNN” at 2275 meters above sea level in Brunico. So that the two cooking duellists do not suspect where the journey is going, they start in Brixen, around 40 kilometers away. In order to uphold the idea of competition, Tim Mälzer thought up an upstream challenge on the ice for the two of them. A special surprise awaits the winner.

Strohe, in turn, sends his friends Tim Mälzer and Tim Raue to their mutual friend Hans Neuner in Porches, Portugal. Already in season two he dueled with Tim Mälzer. Now he acts as the original chef and serves the two of them his signature dish “Tagliatelle vom Carabinero & Mr. Krabbs”. A difficult dish that includes Mr. Krabbs, a crab-shaped pastry that must rise in a steam oven within a minute.
