Kit Harington confirmed
“GoT” spin-off with Jon Snow canceled
Bad news for all “GoT” fans: Kit Harington revealed in an interview why the spin-off with Jon Snow is “off the table”.
“Not the right story”
Until now, Kit Harington explains in the new interview that he has never really spoken about the series. “I didn’t want it to get leaked that it was being developed, and I didn’t want people to start theorizing and either get upset about it or hate the idea if it might never happen. Because in development you look at all aspects and check whether it’s worth it.” That’s not the case at the moment, explains the British actor. “It’s off the table at the moment because we all couldn’t find the right story that excited us all enough. So we decided to give it up.” Harington still leaves fans a small glimmer of hope: “It may be that we will come back to it at some point in the future, but at the moment that is not the case.”
The first “Game of Thrones” spin-off “House of the Dragon” continues this summer on the US channel HBO. But a second series release of the epic fantasy success is already in the works. The two main actors have already been chosen for the show “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight”. The Irish actor Peter Claffey and the nine-year-old Brit Dexter Sol Ansell will be seen in the adaptation of the stories of Dunk and Egg (or in the English original: Dunk and Egg). There is no start date yet.
