What ABBA can do, KISS can do too: The cult band will continue to appear in the form of avatars for many years after their stage farewell.

ABBA demonstrated it with their show “ABBA Voyage” in London, and KISS also want to continue giving concerts for a long time – just no longer in person. The band actually performed their last performance last Saturday in New York’s Madison Square Garden, but it will still continue in a modified form.

Gene Simmons (74), Paul Stanley (71) and their bandmates no longer want to be on stage themselves in the future, but they should continue to play as digital avatars. This marks the beginning of a “new era” for the band, as they announced in New York.

This is how Kiss will still be performing decades from now

In a short video, also titled “KISS – A New Era Begins”, the rockers give a brief insight into the creation of the avatars and show the first shots of what the whole thing could look like in future shows. “The end is only the beginning,” it says in the description. There are no further details yet, such as whether a separate arena will be built for the ABBA Avatar shows.

The Swedish company Pophouse Entertainment, which is also already involved in the ABBA Avatar project, announces that KISS will be able to perform for their fans in this way for several more decades. “We can live forever,” the clip also says. “The band will never stop because the group belongs to the fans.” Industrial Light & Magic, a visual effects company founded by “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones” mastermind George Lucas (79), is responsible for creating the avatars.
