A youth was hit by an S-Bahn near Heimstetten and seriously injured. According to initial investigations, the 17-year-old wanted to “just quickly” cross the tracks on Saturday evening, as the police announced on Sunday. Despite the initiated emergency braking, the S 2 moving into town caught the youth and threw him off the track area. He was taken to a hospital by paramedics. According to initial medical information, he suffered a pelvic fracture and bruises all over his body. The approximately 70 passengers in the S-Bahn were unharmed in the collision. The Munich federal police are now investigating the 17-year-old for endangering rail traffic and warns against unauthorized crossing of tracks.
