Kirchheim – Affordable living in Hausen – District of Munich

The municipality of Kirchheim is creating new living space: nine apartments are to be built on an 890 square meter plot in the district of Hausen, for which the municipality recently concluded a leasehold contract with Bayern-Heim GmbH. These are rented at a reduced rate through the income-oriented subsidy. As Mayor Maximilian Böltl (CSU) reports, employees of daycare centers or the municipal administration, but also pensioners, should have the opportunity to find affordable housing. “At the same time, the community saves on its financial and human resources because it doesn’t build the apartments itself – instead, rental income flows into the budget.” The next steps are the detailed planning and the building permit.
